This is one of my all time favorite cookies, and yet I only make them once a year. They just seem like a Christmas cookie to me- perhaps because they are always included in the holiday cookie tins my mom, sister and I give out each year. This year was no exception, so I whipped up a double batch and here they are.
The instant a single snowflake falls from the sky I seem to have the urge to feast on endless amounts of junk food. So today when we got a surprise mini snowstorm I ordered up some wings and got my butt in the kitchen to start baking. Unfortunately I was short on supplies (no brown sugar, chocolate chips, oatmeal, raisins or nuts) so I had to get creative. I basically just threw random ingredients in a bowl and made something up as I went along. Here’s how it turned out.
I’m not going to lie to you- these cookies are to die for. They are soft, moist, sweet, and delicious. They are also good for many occasions- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. I made them for my Halloween party this year and people raved about them.
This is another twist on the cake mix cookie recipe I posted previously. It uses the same base recipe as the carrot cake mix cookies, just with lemon cake mix and white frosting instead.
One of my favorite go-to desserts are something I call Cake Mix Cookies. You can make these cookies using a simple base recipe and any type of cake mix. For this batch I am using carrot cake mix and cream cheese frosting. My boyfriend’s family is completely OBSESSED with these cookies, so I end up baking them pretty often. Luckily they are super easy to make as you can see in the recipe below:
